Mittens Anyone?

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know I had a great time with friends and family. This weeks challenge was a stocking challenge, hmmm that was a challenge. I like to be creative and do things just a little different so for my stocking I used a cute S4-285 Nested Mittens die template from Spellbinders™ and die cut it out of denim material, using white quilting thread I did a blanket stitch all around the outside of the mittens. Using silver wire from Artistic Wire I wrapped the wire around the end of my paint brush to create my hanger for my mittens. I hand stitched white buttons at the top to finish off that hand made look.

Some might think that the extra shading on the Christmas ball is a mistake, I like to think of this as a creative opportunity for a little extra shading after all, it is my creation! Speaking of this creation, I am having so much fun using the Scrap Happy Glue on my stamps and then stamping it directly onto different media such as this denim.Once you stamp the image just set it aside a minute or to then grab that You're So Fine Glitter, finger and all right in the bottle of glitter and rub it directly on to the glue stamped image. Just Steampunk Magazine!!!!

I am so excited, my Corset Album was published in this new publication Just Steampunk. Here are a few pictures of the album, I used a few of my favorite products, Spellbinders die templates, Want2Scrap bling and the corset album is also from Want2Scrap and the paper line is from Graphic 45, Beacon Adhesive Zip Dry and Quietfire Designs Stamps.

I just love this album, I think it was some of my best work, each page has so much detail and to make it a true corset, I punched holes and laced up the back cover, just the added touch it needed. Hope you enjoyed this album as much as I enjoyed making it. Crafty Smiles, Terre

Holiday Thank You

Happy Friday Everyone! I am sure you all are feeling that the holiday's are coming up really fast, I know I am. Today I have a quick and simple but elegant way to give someone a treat in a handmade package. I had this sheer drawstring bag laying around so I took some of my Scrap Happy Glue and I pounced, yes I said pounced glue all over my stamp, the adorable G-708 Having a Ball and I let it set for a couple of seconds then I took out my You're So Fine Terrifically Teal Glitter and rubbed it all over the stamped image.

The neat thing about this is it was so fast and simple, I could do several of these as fast gifts and i can still say it was hand made.

I then took some white card stock stamped J-1095 Fabulous Phrases, air brushed some color using Copic Markers and added some Nestabling™ to Spellbinders™ S5-030 Fancy Tags Two. Well I hope you have fun creating your own handmade gift wrap, crafty smiles.

It's Ornament Time

Happy Friday Everyone! If you live in the Phoenix area you could come to the Mesa Stamp show this weekend and meet Melissa in person, I am going to be stopping by on Sunday so lookout Mesa, here I come.

Today is the day to get your ornament prepped and ready to start creating, they are simple to make and everyone enjoys getting a handmade gift. I just love the new Christmas stamps here at The Rubber Cafe isn't this just adorable, Warren and Frosty.

 Using my Grand Calibur die cutting machine from Spellbinders™, I die cut/embossed S4-292 Beaded Circles. I placed by die template over the stamped image then die cut it, it seems to be easier to line things up doing it that way. I colored Warren and frosty using my Copic Markers, then air brushed it, added some cute Candis (little green circles with polka dots), they are made by Craftwork Cards and you can find them right here at The Rubber Cafe.

 The next cute ornament that I have to share is call Deck The Halls, isn't he just adorable poking through the holly wreath? I used the same steps and product for this ornament as I did for Warren and Frosty.

 The only difference is I used the Red polka dot Candi Craftwork Cards for the outside of my Beaded Circle.

 Just look at all the pretty colors in this one package, can you just see yourself having fun creating with these little treasures?

Give Thanks

Fall...I just love all the rich and elegant colors that come with the Fall Season. This weeks challenge was to create a scrapbook layout using Fall stamps to create elegant embellishments. For my 9 x 9 scrapbook layout I used a few wonderfully detailed fall stamps from The Rubber Cafe. I stamped I-984 Pattern Royale (love this stamp for backgrounds) on white card stock using black ink.I stamped and cut out Pumpkin Face Mix-N-Match and colored them with my Copic Markers, added just a little bit of  You're So Fine Diamond Glitter to the leaves to add some sparkle.

Isn't my niece so cute, her and her little pumpkin, the stamps just matched the size of her little pumpkin perfectly.

Yes, I hand cut out each of the Mix-N-Match pumpkins and adhered them to the layout .

Using Jewel Tone foils from Spellbinders™, I die cut this tag from S5-073 Orchard Harvest Tags & Accents, stamped E-575 Give Thanks in the middle of the tag and airbrushed it with Copic markers. Thank you for stopping by my blog post, have a wonderfully creative weekend, Terre

Halloween Frame

Happy Friday to you, I hope you have your Halloween costumes all picked out if you celebrate Halloween. My little one is going to be a Pirate Princess and even her daddy is dressing up, he is a Pirate, this should make some really good scrapbook pages..he he. This weeks challenge was to take some kind of home decor item and turn it into a Halloween creation. So I took an old photo frame I had and started creating.

   You can see the photo frame is pretty basic, nothing really to it at all.

 I started out by laying the frame on white card stock and traced where the photo cut outs would be and trimmed them out.

Let the stamping begin.............I used H-917 You Need To Dust, D-488 You Shake My Bones and CL-002 Trick or Treat. I stamped the images randomly around my white card stock, then using my Copic Markers, I air brushed a grey tint around the frame, to make it look spooky.

I used a few Spellbinders™ die templates S4-279 Graveyard Scene and Shapes, S4-280 Halloween Fence Scene and Shapes and S4-277 Nested Bats.

  I added some orange festive fringe around the frame and adhered my die cut outs to the frame.

I mixed some Scrap Happy Glue and some You're So Fine Terrifically Teal Glitter then carefully brushed it on the die cut pieces, it really looked cool like they kind of glowed in the dark, well that's the look I was going for. Thanks for stopping by my post today.

Halloween Mini Album

Here is a cute Halloween album I created for Want2Scrap™...this is just one of their fabby chipboard albums.

I used Black Acrylic paint from Eco Green Crafts..love this paint, it covers in one coat quick and easy clean up too.

I adhered the pattern paper to the inside cover using Beacon Adhesive Zip Dry, shown here.

Doesn't that Nestabling™ just make this page pop...I just love this bling. The little chip board pieces are from My Minds Eye.

I used some stamps from Waltzingmouse and stamped them directly on my page then topped it off with a small Kimmie Bracket Bling from Want2Scrap™.

Neat little trick once you put your Nestabling™ down there is a sticky band in between each bling, sprinkle a little glitter and add some more sparkle to your page.

Here's a fun page, I added bling to the spider web..all around each piece of the web..just love that sparkle.

Hand trimmed the spiders out of the My Minds Eye pattern paper and this is my favorite page from the album, I wonder why...hmmm could it be all that BLING?

Creating these mini albums are so much fun, you have just the right amount of space to be creative with stamps, chip board pieces and yes BLING.

Having coordinating paper and chip board pieces make creating each page fast and simple, let's not forget to add that BLING, it just makes your page pop.
