Designer Crafts Connection

March is National Craft month!  March 21st is the first day of Spring and Easter is March 31st so there are lots of opportunities for all kinds of projects.
The theme is: Favorite Craft Techniques, so pretty much anything goes.

To kick off March and National Craft month I decided to create a few decorative bezels with Spellbinders new Media Mixage line of products there are three total, the first one has Graphic 45 paper and some found objects.

The second one has a pin up girl palying card die cut, pearls, crush glass glitter and a Bottle Cap sticker from the Stamp Doctor along with Spellbinders Bezel.

The last one has a Heart Bezel within a Heart Bezel, I used the new texture plate from the Media Mixage line with foil and sanded to distress befor putting it in my bezel. All three bezels have been filled with Ice Resin!

The Buttons Galore challenge hop will start Saturday, March 9th.  Anyone who is not participating will be unlinked until Sunday, March 17th.

Since it's National Craft Month, there'll be a DCC Giveaway - a collection of product from FabScraps.  I've attached a photo so you can see what is included and if you'd like to include this YouTube link, I shared these products as a Trade Show find on TV.  http://youtu.be/-OZjx6Yhmg0     The video is still loading as of 1:15 CST, so you may need to wait a couple of hours.  I'll be away from home this afternoon, so I won't be able to check that it uploaded ok until late tonight (if I remember).

To enter to win, readers have to check out DCC blogs then comment on the blog that features their favorite crafting technique then tell me what it was on my blog, Life in the Craft Lane.  Don't forget to "like" their FB page here:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/FabScraps/112579348780638?ref=ts&fref=ts

Little Darlings

Here is a card I created using Spellbinders Labels Eleven die template, Want2Scraps Labels Eleven Nestaboard and Nestabling and one of my favorite paper lines from Graphic 45, Little Darlings.
I hand trimmed the little pictures and glued them to straight pins using Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry, they just fit perfect in the corner. Inked the edges of the paper with Clearsnaps Fluid Chalk Chestnut Roan.
Added some paper roses and some Want2Scrap Pearl Swirl  to the corner and there you have it, the perfect little card. Thank you for stopping by my blog today, I hope you come back soon for more inspiration. Crafty Smiles, Terre

Mulan Rouge...Bling Style

Happy Friday Everyone! Are you ready for another great day of Creative Goodness? Well grab a cup of coffee and get ready  for some Mulan Rouge...Bling Style!

Want2Scrap is teaming up this week to bring you tons of inspiration using Want2Scrap, Graphic 45, and Art Glitter products!

After you check out the Want2Scrap design team projects on the designers blogs head to Graphic 45 , and Art Glitter's blogs and see the projects made by their talented teams.

So now that you know who is hopping along with the Want2Scrap Design Team how about seeing that project up close and personal?

This is the inside of the "New Corset" album that Want2Scrap released at CHA.

This album is chalked full of stunning goodness right down to the 72 Count Black Rhinestone, Nestabling Petite Scalled Circles Sm, Nestabling Heart Circles Black Rhinestones and Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess Paper Collection.

This page of the album uses Swirls Maxxi Girl Brown Rhinestones. Just look at that swirl goodness!

This album page features one of my favorite Want2Scrap products, the Swirls Finesse Silver Rhinestones along with the Silver Baby Rhinestones.

This album page also uses the Swirls Finesse Silver Rhinestones as well as Green Pearl Bling,

I really enjoy creating these mini albums using Want2Scrap and Graphic 45, these products work so well togeth the pages of the albums just seem to create themselves.

Once I have placed all of my pattern paper on the chiboard albums, I sand the edges and then I use my favorite ink by Clearsnaps Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk to ink the edges to give the album that vintage feel.
I like to hand trim the pieces and pop them up with foam squares. This adds dimension and makes the pages interesting.
I added a Nestaboard Fancy Tags Two and Nestabling Fancy Tags Two Silver Rhinestones decorative broach to the front middle of the corset.

Garden Delights Blog Hop with Quietfire Design

The Quietfire Design Garden Delights Blog Buzz

I was so excited when Suzanne Cannon from Quietfire Design asked me to be a part of this amazing blog hop, I have been a fan of her amazing hand drawn stamps since a mutual friend introduced me to this amazing collection. I am sure you have seen several that you just couldn't do with out.

I used the Garden Delights Set for my card, I love the stamp that says Weed Love, I didn't use it on my card but I get a chuckle because I think no one loves weeds...lol. Here is a few close ups so you can see all the beautiful details in this amazing stamp set.

I used the paper collection Once Upon A Springtime from Graphic 45, I know that Quietfire has several of the Graphic 45 collections. I stamped my Garden Delights Set on the Spellbinders™ Beaded Oval, make sure to see all the amazing die templates that Quietfire Design carries, they match the Spellbinders™ die templates perfect.

For added accents I used Want2Scraps Swirls Finesse Pearl Bling in little bits and pieces just to give the card that added pop.

I hand trimmed the flowers, added Want2Scraps 72 Count Black Pearls to the center of the flower with a touch of Diamond Stickles to make them sparkle.

Quietfire Design would like to introduce you to their new Spring selection of rubber stamps! Each day two designers will be posting brand new artwork they have created using the new rubber stamps.

Visit their blog on the day of their featured project, post a comment on their Blog Hop post and you will be eligible to win a grab bag of Quietfire Design rubber stamps valued at $50! The Mad Hatter Loves His Bling!

So who doesn't just love Halloween In Wonderland by Graphic 45, The Mad Hatter is such a humorous looking foe and very suiting for this amazing Top Hat Chipboard album by Want2Scrap™. This album is filled with lots of creative goodies so sit back and take a stroll through Wonderland starting with the Chipboard Alphabet-Stylish, just look at all those curves and swirls.

I wish I could show you all of these amazing pages but the post would be very long so I will just have to pick a few of my favorites, like the Mad Hatter with his Marquis Silver Rhinestone Design, even the Mad Hatter needs a little bling, don't you think?
Now what would Wonderland be without the Rabbit and Alice, after all they are on a tight schedule. Just look at those Baby Bling Red Rhinestones, they just make this page twinkle and shine....hmmm just like bling!
Now Alice is a busy girl trying to keep up with that Rabbit and not to mention going to tea with the Mad Hatter and what about that looking glass....
Just look at how those Funky Swirls Silver Rhinestone make the Cheshire Cat grin, he must like bling too!
Now we all know that Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dumb where not the brightest of characters that Alice came across but they are still an important part of the story.

Just look how nice the Nestabling™ Petite Scalloped Circles Small Silver Rhinestones fit on the Spellbinders™ Sprightly Sprockets and the 72 Count Silver Rhinestones add just enough sparkle to make those sprockets shine.
Do you remember Alice trying to find the Rabbit in the rabbit hole? I am sure that this Rabbit hole never looked better with the Beautiful Bling Strip White Pearl/Black Rhinestones or the Brackets Fancy-White Pearl Large what do you think?
How about that Queen? Off with her head or maybe we could bling it up with some Swirls-Silver Rhinestones and a Nestabling™ Fancy Tags Three Silver Rhinestones, sound good to me.
We all know that Alice wasn't afraid of the Queen of Hearts after all she was just misunderstood, right?
I know if Alice had the chance she would have added a few Nestabling™ Scalloped Hearts Red Rhinestones for the Queen or maybe even a Nestabling™ Labels Twenty Silver Rhinestones just to impress the Queen of Hearts. I better mention that to make sure that this amazing album stays secure I used Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry and the stamps where from A Jillian Vance Design Swirly Monograms Stamp Set. Here is a close up of those hearts, see how they shine.

Well I am off to see the Wizard..hint hint, could it be my next album? You will just have to wait and see
but in the mean time you can see all the amazing album and bling at Want2Scrap™ to create your own keepsake album. Happy Crafting...
