Holiday Treat Holder

Today I am sharing a creative holiday treat holder, this was created using the empty plastic Crystal Light container. I started by measuring and cutting my pattern paper from My Minds Eye and using a heavy craft adhesive I secured my pattern paper to the container. I stamped this adorable holiday stamp from The Rubber Cafe, Having A Ball using Scrap Happy Glue instead of ink. Set the stamped images aside for about 45 seconds then add You're So Fine Glitter, Big Apple Red using your finger, just rub the glitter over the stamped image. Using the S5-026 Labels Twenty die template from Spellbinders™, I die cut my stamped image using the Grand Calibur.I air brushed just a hint of blue around the outer edge of my stamped image to make the red glitter pop. Every holiday project needs a little bling so where do I go for bling? Want2Scrap™, they have Nestabling™ that matches Spellbinders™ die templates just like the Nestabling™ Pearl Labels Twenty shown here.I tied a red silk bow and poked two holes in the lid to make a hanger so that my treat holder can be hung on the Christmas tree. Holiday Thank You

Happy Friday Everyone! I am sure you all are feeling that the holiday's are coming up really fast, I know I am. Today I have a quick and simple but elegant way to give someone a treat in a handmade package. I had this sheer drawstring bag laying around so I took some of my Scrap Happy Glue and I pounced, yes I said pounced glue all over my stamp, the adorable G-708 Having a Ball and I let it set for a couple of seconds then I took out my You're So Fine Terrifically Teal Glitter and rubbed it all over the stamped image.

The neat thing about this is it was so fast and simple, I could do several of these as fast gifts and i can still say it was hand made.

I then took some white card stock stamped J-1095 Fabulous Phrases, air brushed some color using Copic Markers and added some Nestabling™ to Spellbinders™ S5-030 Fancy Tags Two. Well I hope you have fun creating your own handmade gift wrap, crafty smiles.

It's Ornament Time

Happy Friday Everyone! If you live in the Phoenix area you could come to the Mesa Stamp show this weekend and meet Melissa in person, I am going to be stopping by on Sunday so lookout Mesa, here I come.

Today is the day to get your ornament prepped and ready to start creating, they are simple to make and everyone enjoys getting a handmade gift. I just love the new Christmas stamps here at The Rubber Cafe isn't this just adorable, Warren and Frosty.

 Using my Grand Calibur die cutting machine from Spellbinders™, I die cut/embossed S4-292 Beaded Circles. I placed by die template over the stamped image then die cut it, it seems to be easier to line things up doing it that way. I colored Warren and frosty using my Copic Markers, then air brushed it, added some cute Candis (little green circles with polka dots), they are made by Craftwork Cards and you can find them right here at The Rubber Cafe.

 The next cute ornament that I have to share is call Deck The Halls, isn't he just adorable poking through the holly wreath? I used the same steps and product for this ornament as I did for Warren and Frosty.

 The only difference is I used the Red polka dot Candi Craftwork Cards for the outside of my Beaded Circle.

 Just look at all the pretty colors in this one package, can you just see yourself having fun creating with these little treasures?

Give Thanks

Fall...I just love all the rich and elegant colors that come with the Fall Season. This weeks challenge was to create a scrapbook layout using Fall stamps to create elegant embellishments. For my 9 x 9 scrapbook layout I used a few wonderfully detailed fall stamps from The Rubber Cafe. I stamped I-984 Pattern Royale (love this stamp for backgrounds) on white card stock using black ink.I stamped and cut out Pumpkin Face Mix-N-Match and colored them with my Copic Markers, added just a little bit of  You're So Fine Diamond Glitter to the leaves to add some sparkle.

Isn't my niece so cute, her and her little pumpkin, the stamps just matched the size of her little pumpkin perfectly.

Yes, I hand cut out each of the Mix-N-Match pumpkins and adhered them to the layout .

Using Jewel Tone foils from Spellbinders™, I die cut this tag from S5-073 Orchard Harvest Tags & Accents, stamped E-575 Give Thanks in the middle of the tag and airbrushed it with Copic markers. Thank you for stopping by my blog post, have a wonderfully creative weekend, Terre

Halloween Frame

Happy Friday to you, I hope you have your Halloween costumes all picked out if you celebrate Halloween. My little one is going to be a Pirate Princess and even her daddy is dressing up, he is a Pirate, this should make some really good scrapbook pages..he he. This weeks challenge was to take some kind of home decor item and turn it into a Halloween creation. So I took an old photo frame I had and started creating.

   You can see the photo frame is pretty basic, nothing really to it at all.

 I started out by laying the frame on white card stock and traced where the photo cut outs would be and trimmed them out.

Let the stamping begin.............I used H-917 You Need To Dust, D-488 You Shake My Bones and CL-002 Trick or Treat. I stamped the images randomly around my white card stock, then using my Copic Markers, I air brushed a grey tint around the frame, to make it look spooky.

I used a few Spellbinders™ die templates S4-279 Graveyard Scene and Shapes, S4-280 Halloween Fence Scene and Shapes and S4-277 Nested Bats.

  I added some orange festive fringe around the frame and adhered my die cut outs to the frame.

I mixed some Scrap Happy Glue and some You're So Fine Terrifically Teal Glitter then carefully brushed it on the die cut pieces, it really looked cool like they kind of glowed in the dark, well that's the look I was going for. Thanks for stopping by my post today.

I'm Gourd, How About You?

It's Friday, I'm Gourd how about you? I had several titles for this weeks post but I settled for this one. Today I have an elegant Fallish card to share with you. I used I-952 Gourds and I-986 Roaring 20's Placard stamps from The Rubber Cafe.I die cut Labels Twenty-Two from Spellbinders™ using my Grand Calibur die cutting machine, air brushed with my Copic Markers.

.Here is a close up of my elegant gourds, I used some pattern paper from My Minds Eye and topped it off with some decorative ribbon and Fall decorative straight pins. Thank you for stopping by my blog post  Have a great weekend.

Quick & Easy Treat Holders

So are you ready for some quick and easy treat holders? I created a couple to share with you today so grab a cup of coffee and sit back and get your creative wheels turning. I started out by stamping several stamps from The Rubber Cafe onto white tissue paper (recycled by the way), I used H-917 You Need To Dust, D-488 You Shake My Bones and CL-002 Trick Or Treat.

Once I stamped all of my Halloween images, just in a random pattern, really no rhyme or reason on how I stamped them, I picked out a green Copic Marker and air brushed the tissue paper green.

After I was finished air brushing, I put some wrapped candy inside the end roll of the toilet paper and taped the stamped tissue paper to secure. Just roll around the end roll and secure. Tie ribbon on the ends to keep the candy inside. Quick & easy and a fun project for your kids to help with for those class parties.

The second quick & easy treat box is really made simple with Spellbinders™ new LF-010 Square Bracket Edge Box die template. Using my Grand Calibur die cutting machine, I cut both the box bottom and box lid at the same time. The box bottom was cut out of white card stock, I stamped the same cute stamps that I used in the first quick & easy treat holder from The Rubber Cafe..

I also used a green Copic Marker and air brushed the bottom of the box.......the lid I used some pattern paper from My Minds eye.

to finish my treat box off, I adhered some orange buttons and put some candy corns inside...yum..yum my favorite. Well I hope that you are inspired to create some quick & easy treat holders just like I have. Crafty Smiles.

Trick or Treat

 

Trick or Treat everyone! Everywhere you look Halloween is just around the corner, I for one already have my little one's costume, she is going to be a Pirate Princess...she looks so cute! I am sure you can find some really cute and spooky stamps right here at The Rubber Cafe, just like the ones featured in my card. I used H-917 You Need To Dust, D-488 You Shake my Bones, and Trick Or Treat

I stamped all of my images with black ink on Spellbinders™ S4-233 Labels Nine Die Template, I cut, embossed the label using the Grand Calibur then I air brushed the cut out with Copic markers. For my choice of pattern paper I used a selection of Halloween patterns from My Minds Eye. I added Labels Nine Nestabling™ Purple Rhinestones from Want2Scrap™ to make my Halloween scene pop. Hey Cupcake, It's Your Birthday!

 

Hey Cupcake.......happy Friday! Today i have a cute girly girl birthday banner to share with you, I used the S-102 Hey Cupcake stamps set and the J-1095 Fabulous Phrases stamps set from The Rubber Cafe.

Banner number one...stamped the Happy Birthday then cut it out using the S4-116 Standard Circles Small die templates from Spellbinders, air brushed some pink color and glued on some white crepe paper for trimmings.

Banner number two, has that adorable cupcake stamp which I colored with Copic Markers, I die cut the S5-028 Nested Pennants and S5-029 Nested Lacey Pennants out of the Little Girl Collection from Echo Park, I also die cut the Nested Pennants out of card board to add some dimension. I added a Fancy Tags Two Nestabling White Pearls from Want2Scrap and layered my cupcake in the middle...so cute! Once you have all your pieces cute, adhere them together using Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry.

These banners are so quick and easy if you have the right tools and stamps

What's Up Cupcake!

Wow where did this week go? This weeks challenge was to create a project with a Birthday Theme. I had these cute pictures of my Niece..."Little D"....one of these days I will have to remember how to spell her first name so I hope my sister isn't viewing this post...sorry!!!! With my stamps in one hand and my ink pad in the other I created this layout using The Rubber Cafe S-102 Hey Cupcake stamp set...love it! I used only four stamps out of this 20 piece stamp set...can you believe you get that many stamps in one set...wow! I added many elements to my layout, Echo Park Little Girl collection of pattern paper as my base, Best Creations Inc. Glitter Polka Dot Paper machine stitched to my base.

I die cut S4-246 Labels Eleven from Spellbinders™ using my Grand Calibur™ stamped the The Rubber Cafe S-102 Hey Cupcake sentiments to the die cut after I cut it in half. I added the Want2Scrap™ Nestabling™ Labels Eleven Green Rhinestones. I stamped the candle and colored it with Copic Marker, added Nestabling™ Labels Eleven Green Rhinestones and one of the Nestabling™  Heart Circles Hot Pink Rhinestones around my stamped candle to create a rhinestone frame.

I placed black chipboard letters and numbers from My Minds Eye on my layout and using the
Nestabling™  Heart Circles Hot Pink Rhinestones  created frames around the chipboard. Using the cute little cupcake stamp The Rubber Cafe S-102 Hey Cupcake, I created a border just under my photos. I colored the cupcakes with Copic Markers and mixed Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry and Your So Fine Diamond Glitter to create my frosting on my cupcakes...don't they look cute? I machine stitched pink crete paper and lime green and pink/white striped ribbon from Want2Scrap™, tied a bow and added stick pins to the bow.
