DIY Craft ideas – button craft blog hop

Hello and thank you for stopping by my blog today for the Crafty Ideas Blog Hop!

For my project I chose to use Button Galore's Black, Grey, White mix of buttons, I thought it fit right along with either a wedding card or even an anniversary card. I stamped JustRite Paper Crafts Elegant Damask Background stamp, added a strip of May Arts Ribbon, tied some baker twine through my Black, Grey and White buttons and topped it off with some Want2Scrap Le Creme Baby Pearls.

My sentiment is a hand trimmed piece from Elle's Studio, just perfect for this card don't you think?

You have a chance to win a Viewtainer filled with an assortment buttons and 45 feet of ribbon. (picture below)

What is a craft ideas blog hop you ask?

A blog hop is where, as a reader you check out the host blog and then follow the links to the other blogs participating in the hop. You hop from one blog to another by clicking the Designer Craft Connection logo on each page. The arrows will take you backward and forward. Leave comments if you like something, follow them on facebook, twitter or even pinterest. Most of all have fun and enjoy the projects. The designers have created projects that include paper crafts, sewn projects, jewelry and mixed -media and much more.

Just look at my side bar and you will see the logo pictured below, just follow the arrows.

To win one of the Viewtainers filled with ribbons and buttons – Leave a comment here.  The comment should contain your favorite project from the hop, and the container you would like to win. Comments need to be made by March 17th, 2013 at 11:59 eastern standard time.

Thank you and I hope you have enjoyed my Buttons galore Blog Hop project and good luck, remember to follow the link and comment on their page to win. Crafty Smiles, Terre

Thank you for joining this amazing blog hop with so many talented designers, today I have a wall hanging to share with you. I fell in love this stamp set from JustRite Stampers, Greetings From Paris
It went so nicely with the Nestaboard Classic Diamonds, Nestabling™ Classic Diamonds Silver Rhinestones put these two together with the Spellbinders™ S4-283 Classic Diamonds Nestabilities, it is a match made in Heaven!
I added 72 Count Black Rhinestones to the border and around my stamped image, as well as the centers of my buttons. It just added that finished touch to my wall hanging.
I took some vintage material and tulle and die cut S4-312 Blossom Three, folded them then stitched them by hand to create this flower. What's a flower with out some leaves, I just love this S4-328 Foliage die template, it has the most amazing embossed details and is easy to stencil through as well. I think one of my favorite die templates is S4-190 Labels Four, JustRite stamps fit this die template just perfect, after all that's how they created them.  Make sure to visit each of the designers listed for today and come back all week for more amazing creations.

Bling It On...Girlfriend!

Today I have a single wall pennant to share with you. I have created this pennant to give to one of my BFF’s. I first die cut all of my pieces at once using the Grand Calibur™ from Spellbinders™, I used the S5-028Nested Pennants, S5-029 Lacey Pennants, S5-030 Fancy Tags Two. For my pattern paper I used the Mish Mash collection from Basic Grey and white card stock. The girlfriend stamp set is Because I care from JustRite Stampers.

Once I had my pieces die cut, I started adhering them together with Beacon Adhesive Zip Dry™. Then to make my project pop off the page I added the amazing Nestabling™ from Want2Scrap™. For the first layer on my pennant I added the Nestabling™ Pennants Silver Rhinestones to the outer edge of the nested pennant as well as to the smaller nested pennants. I think my favorite Nestabling™ has to be the Nestabling™ Fancy Tags Two, for this color choice I chose the Turquoise Rhinestones as it matched the pretty blue of my pattern paper. Just look how the Turquoise Rhinestones pop off the white card stock…..so pretty!

Well I am off to CHA, I hope you have enjoyed this girlfriend’s pennant and are inspired to create one for your BFF. Crafty Smiles……

The Kindess

Can you believe it is already Sunday again? It is Simply Sunday and today I have a simple card that doesn't look so simple but it really was..hope that makes since. I started out cutting my white card stock to create a 6 x 6 card base, adhere my pattern paper Garden Party by Imaginisce to the card front with Beacon Adhesive Zip Dry. On white card stock I stamped my CL-02095 Kindness stamp from JustRite Stampers using CTMH Crystal Blue ink. I took my S5-026 Labels Twenty and S4-140 Petite Ovals Small die templates from Spellbinders and taped the die template over my stamped images to secure them in place and die cut them using my GC-001 Grand Calibur die cutting machine. I also too the largest die template in the Labels Twenty package and taped it to the front of my card front and embossed the Labels Twenty into my card front. I wanted to create an embossed images so that I could use it as a guide to place my Baby Pink Rhinestones from Want2Scrap To finish the card off I used golden yellow silk ribbon from Creative Impressions and tied a simple bow, added just a few baby Pink Rhinestones to the stamped image and there you have it, a Simply Sunday creation. Make sure to visit Heidi and Karen's blogs to see what they have created, until then have a wonderful day. Hugs Terre

NESTABLING.......BE MINE!!!!!!

Don't these Valentine's Day cards just look like you bought them from your local store...guess what with the new "Nestabling" you could create these fun and blinged out cards too...just like I did.

Here's what I used to create these cards, Nestabling Labels Five, Nestabling Scalloped Hearts, Want2Scrap Clear Rhinestones, Want2Scrap Red Rhinestones, Spellbinders LF-127 Grand Scalloped Squares, S4-229 Labels Five, LF-161 Grand Labels One, S4-161 Labels Ones, Stamps are from JustRite Stampers, Adorable Dragon and Just Ducky and my favorite paper line....Abbey Road from My Minds Eye
and the Blue Twill is from Creative Impressions.

Here are all of the pieces cut using the Grand Calibur from Spellbinders...just look at that beautiful Nestabling Heart!!!!

I used my Copic Markers to color this adorable dragon, after I was finished coloring I took my colorless blender and dotted the dragon's skin to make it look like scales....cool right?

I added just a Want2Scrap red rhinestone to the dragons tail, after all dragons like bling too!

Love those large format die templates that Spellbinders created, they make the most wonderful card bases.

I cut out the S4-229 Labels Five die templated and using my new "Labels Five Nestabling" adding
rhinestones was so simple and time saving.....thank you Michele!!!!

I added the clear rhinestones to my S4-235 Fancy Tag to add just a little splash of bling.

Thank you for stopping by my blog post, I hope you have enjoyed my handmade Valentine's Day cards and this wonderful new product..."Nestabling".
Hugs, Terre
