Vintage Gift Card Holder

Happy Friday Everyone! Today I have a Vintage Gift Card Holder to share with you, this was a lot of fun to create. I found just the perfect stamps to use at The Rubber Cafe, I chose G-765 Congratulations, G-718 Vine Border and C-336 Swirled Bells. I tied the gift card with a Olive Green Satin ribbon just to make it look elegant.

.I used Le Romantique pattern paper collection from Graphic 45 and Finesse Swirls Pearls from Want2Scrap.

I cut decorative pieces from the pattern paper, sanded the edges and stamped the Vine Border at the bottom, added a Kimmie Bracket Pearl from Want2Scrap at the top and repeated the step for the back side of the holder.I used Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry to secure all of my pieces together.

I inked all the edges with Donna Salazar's new line of ink from Clearsnaps/Colorbox this color is Truffle,

love it. The ink stay really wet so it was easy to blend the entire gift card hold with just a little ink.

I stamped the Vine Border and Congratulations and slipped the gift card between the layers after I die cut the slit with a Spellbinders die, S4-346 Labels Twenty Two, yes this is a new release, I am lucky because I happen to work for Spellbinders and was able to die cut my project at work using the Grand Calibur.

Here's a close up to see that both sides of the gift card holder are identical.

I just love that Vine Border, I think I use it alot, I guess should see about getting another border to use but this one is my favorite.

Bling It On...Girlfriend!

Today I have a single wall pennant to share with you. I have created this pennant to give to one of my BFF’s. I first die cut all of my pieces at once using the Grand Calibur™ from Spellbinders™, I used the S5-028Nested Pennants, S5-029 Lacey Pennants, S5-030 Fancy Tags Two. For my pattern paper I used the Mish Mash collection from Basic Grey and white card stock. The girlfriend stamp set is Because I care from JustRite Stampers.

Once I had my pieces die cut, I started adhering them together with Beacon Adhesive Zip Dry™. Then to make my project pop off the page I added the amazing Nestabling™ from Want2Scrap™. For the first layer on my pennant I added the Nestabling™ Pennants Silver Rhinestones to the outer edge of the nested pennant as well as to the smaller nested pennants. I think my favorite Nestabling™ has to be the Nestabling™ Fancy Tags Two, for this color choice I chose the Turquoise Rhinestones as it matched the pretty blue of my pattern paper. Just look how the Turquoise Rhinestones pop off the white card stock…..so pretty!

Just Because

It is Friday again and I am on my way to Chicago for CHA but first I have this little creative card for you. I used C-388 Just Because from The Rubber Cafe, stamped the sentiment on the S5-030 Fancy Tags Two from Spellbinders and added some Nestabling from Want2Scrap.

I added some S4-328 Foliage from Spellbinders to the stamped tag to make it pop even more. The old cinema paper is Curtain Call from Graphic 45, It just went so well with The Rubber Cafe  B-263 Tickets.

I die cut the S4-315 Beaded Square from Spellbinders out of the Curtain Call pattern paper and added the Nestabling Pearl Beaded Square from Want2Scrap, I used my Beacon Adhesive to adhere my pieces to my card front.I think those pearls just made this card look so elegant.

Simply Sunday...By Leahandra



Happy Sundy everyone! Today's creations is brought to you by my 3 year old daughter, Leahandra. While in my craft room yesterday as I am rushing to meet CHA deadlines my little one said "Mommy I will help you with your project, how many do you have to do?" First thought.....come here give Mommy a hug...little cutie!Then found out she was so serious I had to give her something to do. So for today's Simply Sunday you have the creativity of my little artist......Leahandra!

Leahandra chose green color core card stock from Core'dinations, White cardstock (scraps from Mommy's trashcan) from Worldwin, Amber and Silver Rhinestones from Want2Scrap, assorted buttons from Buttons Galore and adhesive from 3L Adhesive E - Z Runner.

You can tell she watches her Mommy when she is creating just look at how well she tore the bottom of my book maker (not that I have alot of time to read)

Leahandra loves Bling! She found these spare parts of Nestabling that I used on a project and the next thing I knew she was pulling them off the clear plastic and sticking them on her project. See if my little 3 year old can work the Nestabling....anyone can!

Here is a close up of the back of her project....good thing Mommy has alot of buttons because she just couldn't decide what colors to use so she used them all.

I am so proud of my little artist because she wanted to help me with my deadlines...I told her she could do my Simply Sunday project...I hope you all don't mind....I just couldn't say no to her big blue eyes and willingness to help. Crafty Smiles Terre

Birthday Wishes

It's Friday and today is my Mom's Birthday, it has been almost a year since I saw my mom and many years since I spent a birthday with her so Mom this post's for you.......Happy Birthday, I love you! Creating this Birthday card for my mom was so easy using D-176 Leaf Swirl from The Rubber Cafe and J-1095 Fabulous Phrases from The Rubber Cafe.

I created my background using the Leaf Swirl and Garden Green ink, I used the fading stamping technique to get various shades of stamping.

I love making my own Vintage flowers out of old dictionaries, I die cut  using Spellbinders S4-249 Big Scalloped Circles Large, scrunched them up and spritzed them with Smooch, then I added Your So Fine Glitter Terriffically Teal, I also die cut the S4-235 Fancy Tags and stamp my sentiment.

I die cut the S4-328 Foliage die templates out of pattern paper and inked them with Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk. To top my card off I added Want2Scrap's Swirls, Finesse White Pearls and Amber 72 count Rhinestone Bling to add that vintage pop. Let Freedom Ring

Happy July 4th, Independence Day, those two words have a lot of meaning, God Bless Our Military! This weeks theme here at The Rubber Cafe is Patriotic Theme, so I created this USA Banner using corrugated cardboard, My Minds Eye American Made pattern paper, Outdoor Denim and Cranberry ink, red, white and blue buttons, assorted patriotic ribbon from Creative Impressions and the best part is the amazing Vintage Stamps from The Rubber Cafe.

where designed they didn't think about someone using them in a Patriotic Theme but this just show how
versatile these amazing stamps can really be, after all America was started somewhere and Vintage is a part
of American History and I have to say it is my favorite part of history.

I also used F-617 Freedom Ring from The Rubber Cafe.

To create my background for my banner I took the ink colors and just stamped the stamps randomly around on a white sheet of card stock, the I placed my S5-028 Nested Pennants from Spellbinders in the area I wanted to die cut using the Grand Calibur. I took the S5-029 Nested Lacey Pennants and die cut it out of pattern paper. I also die cut the S5-028 Nested Pennants out of the corrugated cardboard.

To add some sparkle to my project I had the perfect product, Nestabling Pennants Silver Rhinestones from Want2Scrap. I attached my project together using Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry. Thank you for stopping by my blog post today, enjoy your 4th of July holiday. Crafty Smiles.....Terre

Tulip Beads In A Bottle Blog Hop

Here is my creative project, I took a pink tote from the Dollar Spot at Target and created a flower and flourish pattern on the front and back of the tote, using the Black, Red and Turquoise tubes of Beads in a Bottle by Tulip, I created this cute little tote for my 3 year old daughter Leahandra.

Using these tubes of paint was fast and easy, can you tell this was my first time creating anything with this type of paint? I think it turned out pretty good, probably one of the fastest projects I have completed in a long time, not to mention the clean up was just as fast.

I took matching turquoise buttons and hand sewed them on the straps of the tote to give it that finished look.
